So Much More Than One Day

A wedding represents so much more than one day.

Sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of this with all of the planning and preparation that goes into the event itself.  From huge affairs, to intimate elopements, and even courthouse nuptials — a wedding represents the start of a new life chapter.  A new road to follow, with new beginnings and new traditions. And something that’s SO much more than just one day.

#SoMuchMoreThanOneDay represents all of the special indulgences that heighten the anticipation of a wedding, guarantee the perfect honeymoon, and honor the celebration of love that creates an epic ‘happily ever after.’  This “treat yo self” mentality that most brides exercise in the year leading up to the big day, should be embraced in the years to come as well.

In this #SoMuchMoreThanOneDay category on the blog,  you’ll find my picks for activities, destinations, splurges, getaways, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences to compliment this new life chapter that begins with a wedding, but truly is #SoMuchMoreThanOneDay.

[…] Over the past couple years, my husband’s discovered a passion (and hidden talent!) for cooking.  Much like design,  cooking is another creative outlet.  He loves putting together special menus and pairings for holiday meals and celebrations –and since we moved into our new home, I’ve become relatively obsessed with creating unique tablscapes to compliment the event and menu (see a peek at our New Year’s Eve celebration here.)  Inspired by way too many chef shows and netflix cooking docs, we’ve named our ‘pop-up’ restaurant Pöwell Hâus (a play on his last name and heritage), and about once a month we try to make a special date night or host a dinner party for friends or family- with a memorable menu and experience… that lasts for #SoMuchMoreThanOneDay.
